Did you know?
Pineapples are not a fruit. They are a flowering stalk, about 30 cm long, that is covered with flowers that are bound to the flowering stem, which is why the core of a pineapple is woody.
This is why the pineapple plant grows when the crown with a little bit of the core is planted.
